Located in front of the beautiful Kansas City, Missouri City Hall building. This work is one of several statues depicting Lincoln with his favorite son, Tad Lincoln acros the United States. Other studies of Lincoln and his son can be found in Richmond, Virginia, DesMoines, Iowa and Rapid city, South Dakota.

Most of these statues were inspired by a famous pictures taken of Lincoln with his son Tad or Tadpole.
