Lincoln-Douglas Debate Memorial in Quincy, Illinois by Lorado Taft

Quincy, Illinois is the site of the sixth of the seven debates between Stephen Douglas and Abraham Lincoln held around the state of Illinos during the US Senate campaign of 1858.

The sculptor Taft shows Lincoln speaking during the debate. This work is a relief sculpture as opposed to a three dimensional sculpture.
