Wendy and I vacationed in Europe during the late summer of 2014. We started in Paris for a short two day stop; took the train to Amsterdam and then after a couple of days there we jumped on another train to Cologne. In Cologne we rented a car and visited long-lost relatives in Willebadessen, Germany (ancestral home of my Wiegers/Wiechers/Wiegard family). Then off to Frankfurt; traveled up and down the Rhine and stayed with a "Lincoln" friend; off to Heidelberg and Rothenburg. Salzburg was the next stop with a day trip to beautiful Hallstadt, Austria. The last few days were spent in southern Bavaria and eventually we got to Munich and home we went.
