French, the sculptor of the iconic statue of Lincoln at the Lincoln Memorial, finished this work in 1912 - a full 10 years before the Lincoln Memorial piece. This Lincoln statue stands in front of the west entrance of the Nebraska State Capital Building in Lincoln, Nebraska.
